MAUI Wheels with NP Ceramic Hubs

I put the wheels on my Specialized Crux while I am waiting for the XDR freehub to arrive. And to be honest after a couple of miles I was thinking these are no better than the aluminium rims I have taken off but then after around 5 mile what a transformation. Hills seemed to be so much easier and in a higher gear, the bike just kept accelerating on the decents. I broke 5 PR's on Strava without trying, I cannot tell you the extent of the improvement with these wheels. Would I recommend? I most certainly would

I paired the Maui 45s with my tarmac SL8 and they feel very light, especially suitable for the rolling hills in Hong Kong. I paired them with Galfer rotors to further reduce weight. They feel very crisp and responsive with the 54T. Also the hub sound is more quiet then some other wheels, which like and I don’t like loud hubs.

The Maui are a great set of wheels for everyday riding!

This wheels are fantastic!

・Getting out row was light, and cruising speed rose approximately 2km/h.
・Stop & go became comfortable.
・I was not doing the full-scale hill climb, but became able to go up the slope easily. It became considerably a pleasure in future in doing hill climb.
・I pick up a wheel and am surprisingly light. I felt that it was great to be able to maintain cruising speed more than before nevertheless.
